How to Use AVIF to JPEG Converter
Our AVIF to JPEG converter is designed to be simple and easy to use. Below are detailed instructions to help you quickly complete your conversion tasks.
Single File Conversion
Step 1: Choose Conversion Mode
At the top of the converter page, you'll see two options: "Single Conversion" and "Batch Conversion". If you only need to convert one file, select the "Single Conversion" mode.
Step 2: Upload AVIF File
Click the "Choose File" button or drag and drop your file into the upload area. You can upload any AVIF format image file up to 10MB in size.
Step 3: Adjust JPEG Quality
After uploading the file, you can adjust the quality of the output JPEG image. Drag the quality slider to select a value from 10% (low quality, small file) to 100% (high quality, large file). The default value is 92%, which typically provides good image quality with reasonable file size.
Step 4: Start Conversion
Once you've adjusted the settings, click the "Convert to JPEG" button to start the conversion process. A progress bar will be displayed during conversion, which usually takes just a few seconds depending on the image size and your device performance.
Step 5: Download Converted File
When the conversion is complete, you'll see a preview of both the original AVIF image and the converted JPEG image. Click the "Download JPEG" button to save the converted image to your device. The file will be saved with the original filename (with the extension changed to .jpg).
Conversion information will be displayed at the bottom of the page, including original size, converted size, size change percentage, conversion time, and JPEG quality setting.
Batch File Conversion
Step 1: Select Batch Conversion Mode
At the top of the page, select the "Batch Conversion" option to enable multi-file processing.
Step 2: Upload Multiple Files
Click on the upload area or drag and drop multiple files into it. You can select multiple AVIF files at once, or select other image formats.
Step 3: Adjust JPEG Quality
Similar to single conversion, you can use the quality slider to adjust the quality setting for all output JPEG images. This setting will be applied to all files in the batch process.
Step 4: Start Batch Conversion
When ready, click the "Start Conversion" button to begin batch processing. An overall progress bar and individual progress for each file will be displayed. The conversion will proceed sequentially, and you can view the status of each file in the list.
Step 5: Download Converted Files
After conversion is complete, you can:
- Click the "Download" link next to each file to download individual files
- Click the "Download All" button to download all converted files at once
The batch conversion mode also provides statistics including the number of successfully converted files, failed files, and average size reduction percentage.
Common Questions and Tips
File Size Limits
Single file conversion mode is limited to 10MB, while batch conversion mode has no strict limit, but we recommend keeping each file under 20MB for best performance.
Browser Compatibility
Our converter performs best in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge browsers. If you encounter any issues, try updating your browser.
Privacy Protection
All file processing is done in your browser, and we do not upload your images to our servers. This ensures your data security but also means that conversion performance depends on your device capabilities.
Quality vs. File Size Balance
If you need smaller files, you can lower the quality setting (e.g., 60-75%). If image quality is critical, use higher settings (85-100%). The default setting of 92% typically offers a good balance between quality and file size.
